Pick a round or shuffle 10 questions, show or hide the answers, then copy, print or share the list. Questions about Mom and Dad need the parents' answers; the myths and baby trivia come with real ones.

How to run a gender reveal quiz

Ten questions is the sweet spot: long enough for the scores to swing, short enough that nobody checks their phone. Read each question aloud, give everyone about 20 seconds, then reveal the answer and keep a running score. If your guests are spread across different homes, put the list in your video call's chat or, better, play it as a live game where everyone answers on their own phone.

Mix the rounds. Start with two or three questions about the parents so the family gets competitive, add a couple of old wives' tales (everyone has an opinion about carrying high), drop in some baby trivia, and finish with predictions that you can check after the birth. Family votes such as "who will spoil the baby most?" are a great closer because there is no wrong answer.

Before the party, send the parent questions to the parents privately and collect their answers. A question like "who said I love you first?" only works if the parents agree on the answer, so check that too.

The six rounds

About Mom & Dad: how they met, who cooks, who's always late. Pregnancy guesses: the first craving, how they told their own parents, the first thing they bought. Only the parents know these answers.

Old wives' tales: true or myth? Carrying high, heart rate, the ring test, the Chinese calendar. Most are myths, and the answers explain why. Two have a small grain of truth (severe morning sickness and heartburn) and we say exactly that, no more.

Baby trivia with answers: how many bones a newborn has, when the anatomy scan happens, how many babies arrive on their due date. These follow mainstream medical guidance and are meant as party facts, not medical advice.

Baby predictions and funny family votes have no answer yet. Write everyone's guesses down and look at them again on the baby's first birthday.

Play these questions live, not on paper

Diaper Reveal is a free online gender reveal game. Everyone opens one link on their own phone, plays a short race and a quiz, and whoever scores highest opens the reveal while the whole family watches together. The quiz is optional and the host chooses the questions: pick from the game's own bank or write your own, with two to four answers, and tap the correct one.

Tap "Play these live" above and the parent questions, myths and trivia on screen are saved in this browser. When you create your party on this device, they are waiting in its quiz setup as your own questions. Myths and trivia already have the right answer marked; for questions about the parents, you just tap theirs. Predictions and family votes are not copied across, because the game already builds "who's most likely to…" votes from the guests who actually join.

Gender reveal quiz FAQ

How many questions should a gender reveal quiz have?

About 10 for a party, which takes 5 to 10 minutes read aloud. Use 5 if the quiz is one game among several, or up to 15 for a long party. The "Shuffle 10 questions" button gives you a balanced mix in one tap.

What questions can I ask the parents at a gender reveal?

Questions with a clear answer the parents agree on work best: where they met, who said "I love you" first, who's the better cook, Mom's first craving, how they told their own parents. Ask the parents for their answers privately before the party.

Are there gender reveal trivia questions with answers?

Yes. The old wives' tales round (true or myth) and the baby trivia round all come with an answer and a short explanation. Tap "Show answers" to see them, or hide them before you print a copy for guests.

How do I do a quiz for a virtual gender reveal?

You can paste the list into your video call's chat and keep score by hand, or use a game built for it. In Diaper Reveal, everyone answers on their own phone at the same time, scores are counted automatically, and the winner opens the reveal for everyone.

Can I use my own questions in the Diaper Reveal game?

Yes. The host can pick questions from the game's built-in bank or write their own with two to four answers and tap the correct one. "Play these live" on this page copies the questions on screen into your new party's quiz setup on the same device.

Are the old wives' tales true?

Almost all are myths: bump shape, heart rate, cravings and the ring test don't predict the baby's sex, and the Chinese calendar is right about half the time. Severe morning sickness is slightly more common with girls, but it can't predict any single pregnancy.

What if the parents are two moms or two dads?

Swap "Mom" and "Dad" for their names when you read the questions aloud or before you print. In the live game, questions you add are your own, so you can type their names in as the answers.

Is this gender reveal quiz free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up. The list runs in your browser, and printing, copying and sharing cost nothing. The live game is free too.
