For a mixed-age group, use questions 1, 4, 6, 11, 13, 20, 22, 25, 41 and 43. The answer key is: diaper; bib; rattle; kitten; lamb; joey; baby; bib; bib; stroller or pram. Read each question, give everyone about 20 seconds and award one point for a correct answer. Increase the time if anyone needs it.
How to score questions without delaying the reveal
- Pick one host to read questions and one person to note scores; they can be the same person in a small group.
- Give one point per correct answer. Accept regional words such as nappy/diaper and pushchair/stroller.
- For questions about the parents, use only the answer key agreed before the party. Treat future predictions as an unscored conversation.
- For a tie, place 12 small paper hearts in an opaque envelope beforehand. Let tied players estimate the number; the closest wins. Accept a shared win if both guesses are equally close.
- Take a final boy-or-girl vote if you like, then continue to the reveal. A vote is a guess, not a way to determine the baby’s sex.
How to play online or without printed sheets
Read the questions over a video call. Ask guests to type their answers but wait for “send” so the quickest typist does not give the answer away. For word puzzles, paste the letters into chat too. In one room, guests can answer aloud in teams or keep a score on their phones. Keep the host’s answer key off the shared screen.
