Diaper Reveal is built for one of your family's biggest moments — here's exactly how we treat it. No legalese, promise.
What we store
Just enough to run your party: the event name, invite code, players' nicknames and chosen teams, and game scores. These live in our database (Supabase) so everyone sees the same party, and they're only ever tied to your invite code — not to emails, phone numbers, or accounts.
What we never store
Your video and audio are never uploaded to a server. The live video travels peer-to-peer, directly between your family's devices. Highlight clips recorded during the party stay on the host's own device — we never see them.
The big secret
The baby's gender is stored server-side in a locked-down table that only the host's private token can read. Guests' devices never receive it before the reveal — there is nothing to peek at, even for the nosiest cousin with developer tools open.
Camera & microphone
We ask for camera and mic access only so the family can see and hear each other during the party. You can decline or turn them off at any time and keep playing. Access is requested by your browser and used only on the live party screen.
Recording consent
Before joining, every guest confirms they're okay with their live reactions possibly being captured for the family recap. Those captures happen on the host's device only — they're the host's to keep and share within the family.
