Free vs Paid Online Gender Reveal Sites: What You Actually Get (2026)
Some online gender reveals are free, some charge once per event, some bundle a whole baby shower site. Here is what each kind includes, what we could verify on their own pages, and who each one suits.

Short answer: online gender reveal sites fall into three groups. Free games (Diaper Reveal is one) cost nothing to host or join. One-time paid reveal pages charge per event for a themed countdown and voting page. Hosted baby shower sites charge for a period of months and cover more than the reveal. Which is best depends on whether you want a game guests play, a polished page guests watch, or a full event site.
The three kinds of online reveal
- Free interactive game. Guests join from their phones and play something together; the reveal is the prize at the end. No payment to host or to join.
- One-time paid reveal page. You pay once per event for a themed page with a synchronized countdown, guest voting and a private link. Guests usually join free.
- Hosted baby shower site. A site for the shower as a whole (invitations, gallery, messages) billed for a number of months, where a reveal may or may not be part of it.
What each option includes
Prices below are as of 27 Oct 2026, per each site. Features are only those the site lists.
- Diaper Reveal (us). Free to host and play. No app and no account for guests; they join from phones by link or 6-letter code. A short 3D race, then a quiz about the parents, and the winner reveals the gender to everyone at once. A memory film is emailed to the host and stays free for 14 days; $5 a year keeps it longer. 24 languages, optional paid prints, free baby registry.
- RevealTogether. A paid, one-time-payment reveal page. As of 27 Oct 2026, per their site: Intimate $7.99 (10 guest spots, one reveal, classic design), Celebration $19.99 (up to 150 guest spots, 16 reveal designs, result emails), Grand Reveal $29.99 (unlimited guest spots, 2 reveals) and Family Pass $39.99 (gender reveal, baby shower and birth announcement, valid 18 months). They list a synchronized countdown and live voting in all plans, and some free planning tools and games alongside.
- WonderReveal. A paid, one-time reveal page. As of 27 Oct 2026, per their site: one ticket at $14.99 per reveal page, with no subscription and no per-guest fees. Guests scan a QR code, vote and leave notes, and the host triggers the reveal. No free tier was shown.
- genderreveal.live. Sells online gender reveal events as a one-time payment per event. Their site says pricing varies by country and your local price is shown during setup, so check their site for current pricing. They list a free interactive demo and free planning tools.
- webbabyshower.com. A baby shower site rather than a dedicated reveal tool. As of 27 Oct 2026, per their site, the baby shower plans shown were $79 for 6 months and $129 for 12 months, with a 14 day money-back guarantee. We did not see gender reveals described on that page, so check their site for what is included.
Free versus paid: what actually differs
- What guests do. A game gives guests something to play and compete in; a reveal page mostly gives them something to watch and vote on. Neither is better; it depends on your crowd. Ideas for both are in best virtual gender reveal games.
- Who sets it up. With a game you create a party and share a code in a few minutes. Paid pages may let you choose designs, set dates and add names.
- What you keep. Ours emails a memory film to the host, free for 14 days and $5 a year to keep. Check what each paid site gives you to keep and for how long.
- Guest limits. Some paid plans cap guest spots by tier. Check the number before you invite a big family.
- Support. Paid plans may include email support or refunds. A free tool will not promise either at the same level, so decide whether that matters to you.
- Cost to the host. The honest total is the price on the day plus any extras you add, such as prints. See who pays for a gender reveal party for budgeting.
Who each option suits
- A free game suits you if you want it to cost nothing, guests are on mixed phones in different countries, and you like the idea of a short competition before the answer.
- A one-time paid reveal page may suit you if you want a themed, polished page with a choice of designs, a bigger guest cap you can choose or support from the vendor, and you are happy to pay for that.
- A fully hosted shower site may suit you if you also want one place for the whole shower (invitation, gallery, messages) and do not mind paying for months of access.
- Mix them. Nothing stops you running a free game for the reveal and using a separate invitation or registry tool for the rest. Our baby registry is free too.
A short checklist for choosing
- Set a budget first, including zero. If zero is the answer, a free game is the obvious starting point.
- Count your guests and check each option's guest limit.
- Decide game or watch. Do guests compete, or just vote and cheer?
- Check what the host keeps: a film, photos, a link, and for how long.
- Test on a phone, the way a guest will. Most guests join on a phone, often a few years old.
- Read the refund terms before you pay for anything.
- Do a quick rehearsal with two friends a day before. How to host a gender reveal online covers timing and tech.
